Under the Sun Electric

Under the Sun Electric is a licensed C-10 electrical contractor based in Citrus Heights, California. The crew installs panels, EV chargers, solar and home batteries across the Sacramento area.

MG Studio started working with the company in early 2026, with a WordPress web design and Local Services Ads. Local SEO and content followed.

The challenge

A few months in, very few people found the company through Google unless they already knew its name. In June 2026 the site earned 27 clicks from Google Search for the whole month. Of the 29 clicks that Search Console tied to a specific query between June 1 and August 31, 25 came from searches for the company name.

The site had service pages. It did not yet have pages that answer what homeowners ask before they pick up the phone, such as what a panel upgrade costs in Sacramento or whether SMUD and PG&E change the price. Several cities the company works in had no page of their own. Phone clicks and form submissions were not set up as key events in GA4, so there was no clean way to connect a visit to an enquiry.

What MG Studio did

  • We published twelve guides between March and September 2026, built from search data. Topics include panel upgrade cost in Sacramento, EV charger installation cost, Tesla Powerwall versus Enphase, who qualifies for the SGIP battery rebate, and how SMUD, PG&E and Roseville Electric affect a panel or solar project.
  • We added city pages for Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove and Folsom.
  • We wrote 17 service-and-city pages, for example EV charger installation in Roseville, battery backup in Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove, and panel upgrades in Roseville, Elk Grove and Rancho Cordova. Each one was written for its city.
  • We tightened pages that were already live. The homepage had two H1 headings and no license number, the Rancho Cordova page carried a Roseville title, and an old contact URL needed a redirect. We also rewrote the Citrus Heights city page and the Sacramento lighting page, and linked the main panel and EV service pages to the cost guides.
  • In September 2026 we set up phone-click and form-submit key events in GA4. They went live on September 21.
  • We wrote 23 Google Business Profile posts between February and September 2026.
  • In total we published or rebuilt 48 pages and posts on the site in 2026.

Clicks by page, August 24 to September 20, 2026. Pages MG Studio published are highlighted.

We report clicks here instead of impressions or sitewide average position. During this period the site picked up thousands of impressions for an unrelated overseas search term, which inflates impressions and pulls the average position around. Phone and form tracking went live on September 21, 2026, so enquiry counts will come in a later update.
